The year is going to end soon and we are about to enter a new year with lots of new hopes. The old year will be forgotten soon but the memories of the sweet and sour moments will always be there with us. Christmas is one of the last festivals of the year and a perfect time to celebrate all the good things that have happened in last year. No Christmas is complete without cakes, so i thought to post a cake recipe as the last recipe of the year. Today I will share with you an easy homemade Date and Walnut Cooker Cake recipe. It's an eggless cake. I haven't used any artificial flavors & colors. I have used very less amount of sugar If you like more sweetness than add more sugar. Add whatever Dry fruits you have. Follow the step to step recipe & bake this yummy cake on this Christmas Eve.

  • 1 1/2 Cup All purpose flour
  • 1 Cup Soaked Dates
  • 1 Tbsp Walnuts
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Tsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Baking soda
  • 3-4 Tbsp Milk
  • 1 Pinch Salt
For Garnish
  • 1 Tsp Walnuts

  • 1 1/2 Cup All purpose flour
  • 1 Cup Soaked Dates

Instructions
For Cake Batter
  1. Take a bowl, add 1 cup of dates (remove the seeds, pour hot water & soak for 1/2 an hour.

  2. Add 1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/4 baking soda & salt to sieve.

  3. Take another bowl, add 1/2 cup of melted butter & 1/2 cup of powder sugar. Whisk well.

  4. Add flour mixture & required the amount of milk into the bowl, combine together.
For Making Cake in Cooker
  1. Grease a cake tin & place butter paper.
  2. Remove gas kit & whistle from cooker.
  3. Spread a thin layer of salt & place a stand inside the cooker. Pre-heat the cooker.
  4. Pour cake batter into the tin & garnish walnuts, dab well.
  5. Slowly place the cake tin into the cooker. Close the lid for 40 minutes in low flame.
  6. After 40 minutes remove the lid & put a toothpick into the cake. (If the toothpick comes clear that the cake is cooked properly) otherwise, cook for few more minutes.
  7. Remove the tin & keep aside for cool down.
Recipe Notes

> You can use normal sugar.
> Don't use regular utensils.
> You can use sunflower oil instead of butter.
> The cake should be baked in a low flame.
> Be careful while putting & remove the cake tin.
