It's weekend time for some spicy chicken curry. I have learned this delicious chicken curry from my husband. I remembered when I came to Bangalore after my marriage, during the very first days of my marriage my husband used to cook Hyderabadi Chicken curry for me. It was really amazing all the time. I had never cooked Nonveg dishes as it was banned in my parental home, but after marriage, i learned few of the nonveg dishes with the help of my friends, and thankfully there are so many online videos available for the same. Today I will share you the recipe of Hyderabadi chicken curry. It's a very simple & less time-consuming chicken recipe. Follow these steps to prepare mouthwatering delicious hyderabadi chicken curry of your own, and i am pretty sure your family/friends are gonna love it .. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • 500 gm Chicken
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 1 medium Tomato ( chopped )
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Blackpapper Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger / garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1 Tez Patta
  • 1 inch Cinamon Stick
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Blackpapper Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger / garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1 Tez Patta
  • 1 inch Cinamon Stick
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
Hyderabadi Chicken
Instructions
  1. Wash the chicken & drain the excess water. Add yogurt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, mix well. Cover and set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Take a kadhai or a pan and heat 1tbsp oil. Add all the whole masalas, when its flavour comes out then add chopped onion. Fry the onion till it becomes golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger, garlic paste fry well. Add chopped tomato,turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander/ cumin powder, black pepper powder. Mix it well.
  4. Add the marinated chicken. Mix well & cover the lid. Cook it in medium flame.
  5. it's ready when the oil release from the chicken. Now add the green chilli,garam masala & coriander leaves, cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Tastes best with plain white rice or rotis or naan.
  7. Enjoy !!!
Recipe Notes

- You can skip adding turmeric powder, green chilli & tomato.
- Instead of oil, you can use the clarified butter(Ghee).
- Cook in Medium flame.
- Don't use too much of oil. 1 tbsp is enough.

    Just a small suggestion:
    I think you missed to write about when to add tomatos and green chilli and in ingredients you missed to list green chilli.
