Pav = bread and Bhaji = a spicy curry of mashed vegetables. Pav Bhaji is one of the most popular street food of mumbai/maharastra. Nowadays its available all across the India and have gained popularity due to its chatapata nature. Its one of the most yummilicious snacks available and is definitely food lovers dream recipe. One need to know the exact mix of the ingredients to get the authentic taste. I have tried this recipe many times by changing the proportion of the ingredients used and finally have arrived with a recipe that i can share with you. I have taken Potato, cauliflower, capsicum, green peas & tomatoes for the bhaji . Add lots of Butter & lime juice to give an incredible taste to the bhaji.   • 1 1/2 Cup Boiled Potato
  • 1/2 Cup Boiled Curliflower
  • 1/2 Cup Boiled Peas
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Capcicum
  • 2 Medium Chopped Tomato
  • 2 Medium Chopped Onion
  • 1 Tsp Green chilli
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger / garlic paste
  • 2 Tbsp Pav Bhaji Masala
  • 1 Tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • Additional Butter For Pav
  • 4-5 Pav
For Garnish
  • 1 Tsp Coriander leaves
  • 1/2 Tsp Chopped Onion
  • 1 Tsp Lemon
  • 1 Tbsp Additional Butter

Pav Bhaji
Instructions
  1. Boil or pressure cook all the vegetable & mash it Properly. Heat a kadai / wok, Add butter & chopped onion, Fry it till it becomes slightly golden brown.
  2. Add ginger/garlic paste & green chili cook properly. Add chopped capsicum, Fry it well. Add chopped tomatoes and salt. Cook till it becomes soft.
  3. Add pav bhaji masala, turmeric powder, red chilli powder & salt, Mix well. Now add the boiled & mashed veggies. Add water & cook till it becomes semi-solid.

  4. Heat butter in a pan, add pav bhaji masala to butter. Keep the pav in melted butter. Toast slightly.
  5. Serve hot pav with bhaji. Garnish the bhaji with chopped onion, coriander leaves, butter & lemon Juice.
